Abby & Will 1 Year Pics

Right after we got back from Marco we had Abby & Will's 1 year picture shoot with our lovely photographer Shannon Lockwood (www.babydayphotography.blogspot.com). Shannon was been capturing our family since Ben was 6 months old when we moved back to KC. Shannon always seems to capture the absolute best pictures of our kids and this session did not disappoint! I always look forward to our sessions with her and we always try to come up with fun & new places to go for the shoot but this time we chose to go back to the Arboretum again which we had also gone to for Ben's 3 year pics. I had a few "picture goals" for this shoot-and we got them all! I had brought our trusty wagon along as well as the babies gifts from Grandma Werner. Starting with me (the oldest grandchild) Grandma & Grandpa Werner would give each grandchild a wooden gift when they were born-I got a rocking chair. When the great-grandchild started to come Grandma kept strong with the tradition. Abby got a rocking chair & Will got a rocking horse! I wanted to incorporate their gifts into their 1 year pictures and Shannon did a great job using them!
