Ho Ho Ho 2015

Our annual Santa visit didn't disappoint this year! Abby & Will were terrified and Ben was so excited! I won't lie...I really going to miss the screaming Santa pictures. Hopefully the babies will give us a few more years of them though!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

This weekend was our annual trip to Allen Fieldhouse with my dad & brothers. It is one of my favorite family traditions! GG offered to stay home and watch Abby & Will and we graciously accepted. Sadly Matt had to work so he couldn't make it. We grabbed lunch on our way to Lawrence and got to The Fieldhouse in plenty of time to snag our favorite seats. Ben ran into his best buddy Baby Jay, got to high five some player and got cotton candy all before the game even started! We were sitting by the student section and Ben loved that they threw newspaper confetti when the KU players were announced! He went and grabbed a piece of newspaper and made a huge pile of confetti and overtime we scored he would throw it up in the air! The poor guy in front of us kept getting covered in confetti but he was a great sport about it! The game was a blast-a little to close but the boys pulled off a win so we left happy Jayhawks!

Thanksgiving 2015

I can't believe Thanksgiving has already come and gone and we are just 2 weeks away from Christmas. We started off the day building our gingerbread turkey! Ben had so much fun! And of course he had to test taste every bit of the decorations!
After nap time we headed to my parents where we had a great Thanksgiving feast! We have so much to be thankful for as we do each year!

Below is what Ben is thankful for...this kid melts my heart!

Pigtails

Abby's hair is still growing like crazy and now it's long enough for pigtails! I'm so excited to finally have another hair option for her!

Rock Chalk Ben is 5!

When I asked Ben where he wanted to have his birthday party he said "at basketball party at home"! I said a KU basketball party and he said YES and so it began. As I started planning I said to Vince wouldn't it be awesome if Baby Jay came to Ben's party??? And he yes that would be so cool! So I researched it and it was possible but wasn't a guarantee and of course Baby Jay couldn't come if it was a football game day or during any basketball games. So I checked the schedules and picked a date & time and send the email. 2 days later I got a response and it was YES! I about fell off my chair! We decided not to tell Ben! But Ben instead on sending Baby Jay an invite and said he "really hoped that there wasn't a game so he could come"! Before we knew it it was party day-it was a beautiful warm sunny November day! Baby Jay surprised Ben and he was beyond thrilled! The party was great-Ben said it was "The Best Party Ever"!

Birthday Celebrations

This year Ben kicked off celebrating his birthday at school. Before we had even won the World Series Ben asked the baker to make him a KC Royals cookie cake "that looked like his the shirt he was wearing". Ben was thrilled with the outcome. He was so excited to take it to school! His teachers said the cookie cake was a huge hit with the class!

Saturday night we celebrated Mom & Ben's birthday with a tasty birthday dinner followed by the requested cherry pie & "circle Royals blue cake" desserts!
Sunday was the day that Ben woke up a 5 year old! We stuck with our birthday tradition and got donuts for breakfast! Then he opened up presents and then we played. When I asked him what he wanted for lunch he said he wanted to go to his "special pizza place" and then he called GG & BaPa and invited them! So we all met at D'Bronx and had a yummy pizza lunch. After lunch we played some more and then Ben played with his neighbor friends outside for a bit. Ben had requested pancakes & bacon for dinner so of course that's what had!
