Ben's 1st Easter

Hoppy Easter!

I hope that everyone had a great Easter with their family & friends! We had a great Easter-our last holiday in the Burgh. Ben got up and we showed him what the Easter Bunny had left for him. He was so excited! After he got done checking out his new books, bubbles, towel, ball, bunny, dvd's and his cricket (thanks Aunt Joie! he loves it!) we took a few pictures. He is such a great baby! He lets me do whatever I want i.e. bunny ears to him and smiles the whole time! Then it was off to church and he did great. He loves going to church-so many new people to look at and he loves all the music & singing! Lets hope he is in the same great church mood next weekend for his baptism! After church we grabbed a late brunch and then it was back to pack pack packing!

22 Weeks

5 Months

Baby Ben is 5 months old! What a difference a few weeks makes-we now have a rolling and sitting baby! The rolling started during our trip to Florida a few weeks ago and he has now mastered it! The sitting up surprised both Vince and I but it is so amazing to watch. His trunk just keeps getting stronger and stronger.  Ben has gone from rice cereal to oatmeal to oatmeal with bananas. And he is now eating the banana oatmeal twice a day. He really enjoys his breakfast and dinner! He wasn't quite sure about the banana oatmeal but now he eats it all up! He loves loves loves Mum Mums! They are just a little rice wafer that easily dissolves in his month while he chews/sucks on it. He has one (or two) while we eat dinner and loves them! He is still learning that  he can control them with his own hands so I still have to help him. I can't believe that in a month we will be making him "real" food to eat. I can't wait to see what veggies & fruits he likes!

Ben was way more interested in the paper than he was in smiling for the camera!

Another First-Sitting Up

Ben surprised us on Friday by showing us that he can sit up all by himself! Ben and I were playing and looking at his photo albums and I suddenly realized that I wasn't supporting him! I moved back and sure enough there he sat all by himself!
