Spooktacular Halloween

Happy Halloween! I can not believe this is Ben's last 1st holiday! Ben was a cow this year! He loved seeing Aunt Angela & Uncle Kurt's cow this summer and the kid loves him some beef so we found it fitting for him to be a cow! We worked on saying Moooo but it didn't really work. But he did say his 3rd word today...Mama! It melted my heart! We had a great Halloween this year! Ben was a good sport about wearing his headpiece for the most which I was surprised by! Here are some pictures of out little moo cow!

Pumpkin Carving

Today we carved our pumpkins for Halloween! Ben was interested in the carving process for no more than 5 minutes but we all still had fun!

Mr & Mrs Katzer

This weekend we headed down to Garnett (and Greeley) for the Rupp/Katzer wedding! It was a great weekend full of family and pure happiness. We got to the Garnett Inn late afternoon on Friday and hung out with all the family staying at the hotel. Then we all made our way to the church for the rehearsal and a great dinner at a beautiful old house after. After dinner we met up with Larry and Carrie at the hotel bar for some drinks. Grandma Marq was nice enough to watch Ben for us! I had a great time catching up with Carrie! Finally neither one of us was pregnant or had just given birth so it was great to throw back a few captain & diets like old times! The wedding was Saturday afternoon and it could not have been a better day-70 degrees and sunny! Angela looked so beautiful as did Paige & Lakin! And Kurt & Reece looked very handsome too! The wedding was beautiful and I don't think I have seen 2 people more happy! We headed to Greeley for the reception which was full of friends & family, great food and great music! We ended up leaving earlier than we wanted because Ben was starting to melt down (he hadn't had his afternoon nap). We are over the moon with happiness for Angela & Kurt! They are now an amazing family of 5! We are so lucky to have Kurt, Lakin and Reece officially in  our family!

Mommy's Little Helper

This morning I was unloading the dishwasher and I had a little help...

Look What I Found

A few weeks back I was busy unpacking boxes in our bedroom and I looked into the bathroom and this is what I found...

Hi Mommy! Look what I found!

See the toilet paper in my mouth???

 Hmmm. Guess its all gone.

Game Day

11 Months

I can not believe that when people ask me how old Ben is I now say "he will be 1 on the 8th". CRAZY. These 11 months have flown by! Ben still has 6 teeth. Which he gets good use out of since he refuses to eat baby food anymore! He is down to 3 bottles a day and now he gets 4oz of formula and 2 oz of whole milk. We are starting the transition to cow milk so each week I am taking away an ouce of formula and adding an ounce of whole milk. Once we get off the formula I will work on getting rid of the bottle. I can't even believe that in a few weeks I will be packing them away. But it will be nice to have a whole shelf in the cabinet back! Ben is not a huge meat fan unless it's my meatballs! He loves him some meatballs! I have been sneaking chicken and turkey onto his tray and he's trying it more than he has before. He loves veggies! And I think its safe to say that Sunday night pasta dinner is his favorite meal! I think it takes me longer to clean him and the highchair up than for him to eat it! Ben now says "Hi or Hi-Ya"! He loves to chat it up with starangers and loves to wave goodbye to them! He has become very attached to me over the past month or so. I secretly kinda love it! But at the same time he needs to be able to be with others. Bath time is still one of his favorite times! He would stay in there for hours if we let him. Ben has started to "share" his food with me. He loves to give me bites when he's eating. He also now shares his food with Miles. So now Miles eats very well and seems to be enjoying his new organic diet! Ben also likes to try Miles' food. Gross. One day Vince pulled 3 pieces of dog food out of Ben's mouth. Gross. Gross. Gross. He's not walking yet but can stand on his own for a good while if he's distracted but the moment he realizes he is standing he sits down. So I bet he will be walking sooner rather than later!

The Leaves They Are A Falling

48 Weeks

Courtney's 3rd Birthday Party

Sunday was Courtney's 3rd Birthday Party at Zonkers! This would be Ben's first time at Zonkers-which is like an arcade with a few rides and a bouncy house. Ben had a BLAST! He and Courtney rode the carousel first. He had so much fun! Then he rode on the train with Courtney and some of her friends. And then I took him on the flying banana ride-he seemed to really like it but I sure came off that ride super dizzy! Next up was his first ski-ball game and Daddy showed him how to play the basketball game! He took a ride in a car and bounced around in the bouncy house! Then it was time for cake & ice cream! We had such a great time! Thanks to Tim, Lisa & Court for letting us share in your special day!
