Game 2 of The World Series

Well the boys in blue did it again! Off they were to the World Series for the second year in a row! Unfortunately Vince was out of town for work for Game 1 so we had to sell our tickets. But he flew back to KC just 2 hours before Game 2 started! Ben made a sign all by himself to cheer on the Royals from home! I picked him up from the airport and we raced to The K! We made it with enough time for some quick tailgating and then it was into the stadium we went to meet up with the the Dubill's! As we were walking in we ran into the famous "Marlin Man" and stopped for a quick pic! He is really a truly nice guy! The game was so much fun! Even despite the cold rain that fell for a few innings. The boys pulled off another amazing win! We really didn't think the night could get much better but it did...on the way out we ran into Coach Self and he stopped for a quick picture with us! Seriously to quote Ben "it was the best day ever"-well one for the short list at least!

Halloween Celebration's

The weekend before Halloween was Aunt Joie's traditional Halloween party. The kids were so excited to get dressed up and go party!
I'm one of the Room Mom's for Ben's Pre-K class. So I get to attend all the school parties! Yay! The kids were all so excited for this party and that they got to dress up, play games, eat yummy treats and then they got to be in a parade and show all the big kids at school their costumes! It was so fun getting the kids into their costumes and seeing how excited they were to show their friends what they were dressed up as! Ms Cara said it was the best school party she'd ever had!

My Little Royals

Fall Field Trip

Ben had his first real field trip back in October! His Pre-K class took a trip out to Johnson Farms for some pumpkin picking. GG watched the babies so I could go along as a volunteer and I'm so happy I got to go! Ben was most excited about being going on a "real big yellow school bus" he had never been on a real school bus before and asked me for days if today was the day he got to go on the bus! The look on his face was priceless as he boarded! He thought it was the coolest thing ever! When we got to Johnson Farms they got to play for a bit in the corn maze and sand bus and then took a tour of all the animals. He loved the new baby pigs. Then we boarded the tractor and we went out to to hunt for pumpkins in the field! He had a blast looking for just the right one. After that it was time for a picnic lunch before getting back on the bus. He talked about the field trip for days! I am so thankful that I get to things like this with him!

One Busy Saturday

October 17th was the last day of fall soccer. I was sad it was coming to an end. It was so fun every Saturday going to watch the boys play and getting to hang out and chatting with our Rolling Hills friends! I don't think Papa White Truck missed a game and boy was Ben excited to see him cheering him on! Grandma Marq, GG, BaPa, Uncle Matt, Uncle Potty & Aunt Leah also helped cheer him on during the season! He was always so proud to have his cheerleaders there! The Rockets went undefeated this year! Such much improvement was made since they played spring ball. It was so fun watching them play! After their final game they had their award ceremony where they got medals!

After the game we made a last minute decision to go to watch the Royals play in game 2 of the ALCS. For some odd reason our tickets were selling so we decided to go make a day date out of it! Luckily Maria our babysitter could come early! We had a great time! The first part of the game wasn't the best but our boys in blue stayed true to tradition and pulled an big win out over the Blue Jays!
After the game we sprinted to the car and changed our clothes and headed to the zoo for Brew at the Zoo! We had made plans months ago with the Ingraham's & Cooper's to go and had really been looking forward to it! It was a bit chilly but the free wine & appetizers kept us warm! I hope this turn into a new tradition for the 6 of us!
