The babies are finally strong enough to sit up in their bath seats-a day Ben has been waiting for! The other night they all took a bath together! They all had a BLAST! I see many many more nights like this in our future!

House # 6
Babies 1st Bites
Well I had postponed it as long as I could but then the "mommy guilt" started to set in and I decided we had waited long enough it was time to start the babies on solid foods. I had been dreading this day for so long...the mess, the added daily baby "chore", and did I mention the messes x 2! I had been giving them Puffs & Cheerios the past few weeks trying to keep them happy. Will was a huge fan from the get go. Abby had to warm up to them but now can't get enough! So last Friday I decided that today was the day and mixed up some oatmeal for them. No a huge surprise but neither of them were a fan so I mixed in some baby food thinking it might help but no they looked at me like I was trying to poison them. Over the past week I have come to learn that they want people food not baby food. They seriously ate almost all of my baked sweet potato the other night but when I tried to give them baby sweet potatoes they spit them back at me. Tonight I finally got them to happily eat some baby oatmeal with baby pureed bananas in it so hopefully we can all find a happy medium between baby & people food!

Abby's 6 Month Heart Check
Abby had her 6 month cardiology check up a few weeks back. We had a slight scheduling mishap and ended up seeing a different doctor. We saw Dr. Birnbaum-I was kind of excited to see someone else to get their take on the situation. First Abby had her echo which she did great in. She fell asleep about 10 minutes into it! Then we saw Dr. Birnbaum. He said that things are status quo. We talked about the potential of surgery and the hows, whens, and whys. The safest way would be using a catheter through her thigh the only problem is that the catheter only comes in one size so we need our tiny Abby to do some big growing so her veins are bigger and her heart will be larger. So we have a few more years before we have to do the surgery. Dr. Birnbaum assured us yet again that she is just fine and has no restrictions. She can run and chase her brothers around and we don't have to worry. He said the issues with her heart would become a real issue when she's in her 20's or 30's so that made me feel better that we know about it now and it will be fixed long before she's even in grade school. So for now we just continue to monitor her every 3 months at Children's Mercy.
