Indian Mission Fall Festival

The weekend before last was the Indian Missions annual Fall Festival. As a kid the boys and I looked so forward to this weekend. We would spend all weekend down there (pretty much my parents backyard) playing and stuffing our faces with treats. We could get new pop guns, eat our weight in funnel cakes, play in the teepee's, play with all our friends and buy silly toys we thought we really needed. Sadly the festival isn't what it used to be but still we had a nice family day! That Sunday we packed up the kids and headed to my parents to take the kids-Uncle Matt also joined in the festivities. Ben has been in the past and remembered that they have kettle corn so he was excited! We walked down and Ben took a ride on a pony-he had a choice between the horse or pony and he thought the horse was a bit big so choose the pony. Then we explored the teepee's and looked for a face painter. Ben loves getting his face painted! Luckily we found a tent that was doing it and after wait forever for the last to set up he finally got his dragon on his cheek! Dad bought us a funnel cake & cotton candy while we waited which made for 3 happy kiddos! After that we got Ben his kettle corn and called it a day. I wish it was as fun and exciting as it was when I was a kid but my kids still had a blast and that's all that matted in the end!
