More Matters of Abby's Heart

Mid-December we had Abby's 9 month cardio appointment. It went as all the others have gone as far a testing goes and Abby did great as normal. Dr B said the hole has stayed the same but "it's pretty big" but the valve pressure is more of an issue now. It went from 25% to 50%. At 60-65% surgery will need to be done. The goal all along has been to get her over the age of 3 before doing surgery because the catheter they will use only come in one size so obviously the bigger she is the bigger her veins will be for the catheter. Dr B can tell me until he is blue in the face how this isn't really affecting her now and that she has no limitations but I'm her mom and its absolutley terrifying that my little girl has 2 issues with her heart that will need to be fixed sooner than later. So for now we wait. Wait to see how her 12 month appointment goes and pray like crazy in the mean time that the valve pressure gets better not worse.
