Hippity Hop 2013

Keeping with Easter tradition we visited the Easter Bunny and colored eggs in the days before the actual holiday. The first was an epic failure as usual but the coloring of eggs was a hit! Aunt Joie had stopped by to deliver Ben's lamb cake and Ben was so excited to see it! He couldn't wait to have a bite of that lamb! I was trying to hold him off until the next day (Easter) but he just couldn't stand it and had to have a piece! Aunt Joie helped Ben dye some of his eggs and they both had a blast! Ben could have dyed eggs all day long!
Easter morning Ben awoke to find bunny ears, a empty basket and a few eggs left in his room by the Easter Bunny! He was so excited to put his ears on and find some eggs! This year the Easter Bunny put jelly beans and goldfish in the eggs. Ben did NOT like the fish in his eggs and would just toss them to the side and hunt for more eggs with jelly beans-smart kid! The Easter Bunny gave Ben is very first Tonka truck! He was so excited and thought the bed of the dump truck was a perfect spot to dispose of those damn fish. After Ben found all his eggs we headed over to Vince's mom & Jimmys house for Easter brunch. Ben couldn't believe the Easter Bunny had left him another basket at Grandma & PaPa Jimmy's house! And this basket had a special Easter treat...Peeps! This kid loves his marshmallows and was in heaven when he tried his first peep! We had a nice brunch and then left for Ben to take a nap. When Ben woke up he ran to his basket full of empty eggs and was legitimately upset that the Easter Bunny had not come back and refilled his eggs while he was asleep. Poor Guy! Then it was off to my parents for Easter dinner where Ben was again surprised that the Easter Bunny had left another basket and gifts for him at GG & BaPa's house and that he had another egg hunt to do! BaPa helped Ben find all his eggs and he had a blast pushing his new car bubble blower! We enjoyed a great Easter dinner with the family! I really don't think the kid ate anything but sugar all day but I guess that's part of the fun about being a kid on a holiday!
