Brother in the Burgh

Patrick flew in to Pittsburgh on Saturday to meet Baby Ben. I think he was in love before we even left the airport! Saturday night we ate pizza and watch the KU game while Vince was at a work event. When Vince got home we went down to our neighbors Eric & Erin's for a few drinks. It was a great night but I stayed up a tad to late! Sunday we hung out and went out for a light lunch before we had our usual Italian Feast for dinner. Vince made us stuffed shrimp artichokes before dinner and they were amazing! Monday Vince left for KC and Patrick volunteered to babysit Ben while I went to get my haircut. Poor Patrick had quite the experience when Ben had a massive evacuation (aka poop). The poor guy hadn't pooped in 36 hours so it was a big one. So poor Uncle Patrick had a very messy first diaper changing experience and both had to change clothes by the time it was over! He was so relieved when I got home! But what a great uncle Ben has! Monday night we had one of Patrick's favorite dinner-taco casserole! It was the least I could do after the evac situation! Sadly Tuesday morning we headed to the airport to send him back to KC. It meant so much to me for him to fly out and spend time with his nephew/godson!
