Happy 1st Birthday Abby & Will

We kicked off Abby & Will's 1st Birthday with the traditional birthday donuts! The babies had never had a donut before so I was curious how they would take to it. Ben picked out their donuts for them at the donut shop. He was so excited to pick them out for the babies! When we got home we gave them each one donut. Abby dug right in like she was a pro and it was the best dang thing she had ever tasted. Will on the other hand had to warm up to his donut for a minute and then seemed to enjoy it!

After breakfast we opened presents! Not a ton of unwrapping to do which I was kinda bummed about but who wraps a dolly stroller, lawn mower, ball popper & shopping cart up? Ben had gone a picked out gifts for the babies and he was so so so very excited to help them open them! And I think the gifts he gave are the babies favorite by far!
The rest of the day was full of party prep and playing with the birthday babies! We had pizzaz for dinner and then celebrated with singing Happy Birthday & eating cupcakes! Again Abby dug right on in...Will had to warm up to his.

Will...The 1 Year Old

William Collier...You Are 1 Year Old

It seems like just last week the doctor was telling us we were having you and that you were born just days ago. You have brought us so much joy, Will. You came out into this world and showed us quickly just how strong of a guy you are. You have exceeded everyones expectations since day 1. You are our little overachiever. It only took me having my third baby to finally get my toe-head. You have the absolute best smile I have ever seen. You smile with your whole chubby little face and it melts my heart every time I see it. You are a mover-you are never in one spot long. You are always afraid you might miss something. You love blueberries like no one I've ever seen-I told Daddy to plant you a blueberry bush in the backyard. You are a mommas boy all the way. You are always the first awake in the morning. You can say MaMa & Da. You love to swing on the playset. Running with Daddy is a favorite as of late-you clap every time Daddy hits a bump. You are my daredevil. You literally have no fear. You get frustrated quickly if you can't do exactly what you want the first time you try. You are a sponge-you learn things so fast. You love your lovey's and your b. You always cry when bath-time is over. We call you Birdie, Birdie Bird, Willbo, Willie and Brother. You think Ben's toys are way better than yours. You have almost 6 teeth.

Abby...The 1 Year Old

Abigail Elizabeth...You Are 1 Year Old

I just can not believe you are 1 year old Abby. In some ways I feel like we have had you forever and in other ways it just doesn't seem possible that a whole year has gone by. You are our little spitfire. You came out into this world screaming against the odds and showed us very fast that though you are tiny you are fierce and have a mighty roar. You have no problem letting us know what you want and that you want it the very second you decide you want it. You love to drink naked juice. Your favorite meal is pasta. You love your big brother Ben to pieces. He can make you laugh like no one else can. And your laugh oh my gosh it is the best I've ever heard-it is so contagious. We call you Abby Doodle, Sister, Abbs and Girlfriend. You answer to all and more. You have 2 teeth. You are perfectly content to just sit and play for hours. You think you are pretty hot stuff since you learned to stand up in your crib. You love bath time. You don't mind running errands with mommy. You prefer to be held ALL the time. You can say DaDa & MaMa. You look just like your Daddy & Grandma. You have the biggest blue eyes. You think sticking your tongue out is hilarious. You are super tickleish especially on your feet & sides. You love to watch Sesame Street & Dinosaur Train.

Will's 1st Haircut

Well we finally decided it was time to cut Will's hair. He was getting quite the blonde baby mullet in the back. So we called Grandma Marq and asked if she'd do the honor. She did and his hair came out great! I am no where close to wanting to give him a "big boy" haircut so this little trim was just perfect!
