Babies:: 9 Months

Rock Chalk

Last month we did our traditional KU game with my Dad, brothers & sister-in-law. We went to KU vs Utah. The game was at the Sprint Center instead of Allen Fieldhouse. We left the babies at home this year-thank you to GG for watching them so we could go have fun at the game!  Obviously we had a great time cheering on our boys in blue but its just not the same when you aren't in the Fieldhouse. Ben wanted to go see Baby J so bad but he was so hard to track down in the Sprint Center-Vince & him tried for a good 30 minutes but never met up with him. We promised next year for sure!

Kitchen Sink Baths

I realize I still have not done our new house post and I promise its in the works but part of our kitchen remodel included a sink that I could bathe babies in-just for convince sake really. Its so easy to take them from their hook on seats on the breakfast bar and just toss them in the sink. Once they finally were strong enough sitters I decided it was time to try out the sink! Will went first and had a blast! He was splashing and splashing and could have stayed in there for hours! Abby on the other had was so confused. She wouldn't put her hand in the water for like 5 minutes. I think the bubbles freaked her out a bit.  But now they love it! And it makes our lives just a bit easier on bath night!

Babies:: 39 Weeks

  • Abby loves yogurt
  • Will loves pasta
  • Will loves looking at the Christmas tree

Santa 2014

It seemed like as soon as the turkey had been digested it was a mad dash into Christmas mode this year. We had sick babies right after Thanksgiving so that didn't help with the craziness. We decided to splurge on a new tree this year. Our old tree was tall & slender and worked great in our past houses but not in the new house. So we got a great deal on a new bigger tree and Ben was so excited to decorate it! We decided to let Ben have at that tree and decorate it how he wanted-it meant way more to him than it does to us so who cares how it looked this year right! Next year the old tree will be the "kids" tree down in the basement and our "grown-up" tree will be in the family room.
After we got the house decorated it was time to plan our trip to see Santa. I know last years picture disappointed many since Ben actually smiled and wasn't screaming-crying-leaping from Santa's lap. So I thought for sure that with not 1 but 2 almost 9 month olds that we for sure would get a good screaming picture but to everyones surprise everyone did just great. Damn it. So heres to getting a screaming pic next year!
